Batteries, starters and alternators fail in ways that mimic each other. A slow crank can be a weak battery, a tired starter, or a battery that never gets fully charged because the alternator is failing. Guessing wrong means paying for a part that was never the problem.
We test the battery, the starting draw, and the charging output before recommending a replacement. If more than one component is genuinely at the end of its life, we will tell you that too — but we do not replace parts on a hunch.
