A tune-up brings together the ignition and filtration items that most directly affect how your engine idles, accelerates and uses fuel: spark plugs, ignition coils, air filters and related components. None of these parts last forever, and their wear is gradual enough that most drivers do not notice the decline until the parts are replaced and the difference is obvious.
We build a tune-up around what your specific vehicle and mileage call for rather than a one-size-fits-all package, and we tell you plainly which items are due now and which can wait.
What a mobile tune-up typically covers
Spark plug replacement
Ignition coil inspection and replacement as needed
Air filter replacement
Cabin air filter replacement
PCV valve inspection and replacement as needed
Fuel filter replacement where applicable
Throttle body and idle performance check
Educate, never pressure
What you should know
Modern spark plugs last longer, but not forever
Many vehicles now spec spark plug intervals of 60,000 to 100,000 miles, far longer than older vehicles. That does not mean the interval does not matter — worn plugs cause misfires and reduced fuel economy well before they fail completely.
How long it takes and whether it can wait
A typical tune-up takes one to two hours depending on how many components are due and how accessible they are on your engine. A tune-up itself is rarely an emergency, but a rough idle, misfire or hesitation you are already noticing is a sign the interval has already passed and should be scheduled soon rather than ignored.
A tune-up is not a fix for every check engine light
If your check engine light is on, a diagnostic scan tells us whether the cause is ignition-related or something else entirely. We will not sell you a tune-up for a problem it will not fix.
Know the signs
Common symptoms and common causes
If any of this sounds like your vehicle, you are in the right place. If none of it does, you may not need this service yet — and we will tell you that too.
Common symptoms
A new noise, smell or vibration that was not there last month
A warning light on the dash
A change in how the vehicle drives, stops or starts
Fluid spots on the driveway
Common causes
Normal wear that has finally reached the end of its service life
Deferred maintenance that let a small issue grow
Heat, road salt and Ohio winters accelerating corrosion
A related component failing and taking a neighbor with it
Why this repair matters
Left alone, small problems recruit bigger ones. Catching this while it is still a maintenance item is the difference between an appointment in your driveway and a tow on a Tuesday morning.
Vehicles commonly affected
Most cars, SUVs, light trucks, work vans, fleet vehicles and RVs. We will tell you honestly if your specific vehicle is outside our lane.

Tune-Ups: pricing, timing and coverage
Everything we can tell you before you call, told before you call.
Starting at
Quoted per job
Our published starting price is pending owner approval. Rather than post a number we have not confirmed, we quote your exact vehicle before any work begins.
The starting price covers a straightforward job on a common vehicle with accessible, non-seized hardware. Your exact quote is built from your vehicle, the parts selected and the working conditions on site.
Estimated repair time
Most visits are completed in a single appointment. You receive a realistic time estimate for your specific job when we confirm the appointment.
Appointment-based mobile service at your home, workplace or business.
What can increase the price
Rusted or seized hardware that takes extra labor to remove
Difficult component access or required disassembly
Larger trucks, vans, RVs and luxury platforms
Premium or dealer-only parts
Additional worn parts found during the repair (always approved first)
Same-day, after-hours or long-distance scheduling
Vehicles covered
Most cars, SUVs, light trucks, work vans, small fleet vehicles and RVs. No transmissions, engine rebuilds, internal engine repair, trailer repair or heavy diesel.
The starting price is the honest floor, not a teaser.
You get a firm quote for your specific vehicle before work begins.
If the job changes, we stop and ask before continuing.
No bait-and-switch. No hidden pricing. No surprise line items.
Things worth knowing whether or not you ever hire us.
Write down when it happens
Cold start, highway speed, braking, turning — when a symptom appears narrows the diagnosis fast and saves you diagnostic labor.
Keep your maintenance receipts
A documented service history is worth real money at resale and keeps us from repeating work you already paid for.
Do not ignore a small leak
Fluid on the driveway is cheap to fix and expensive to ignore. Photograph the spot before you move the vehicle.
A check engine light is data, not a verdict
The code points at a system, not a part. Anyone who quotes a repair off the code alone is guessing with your money.
Transparent pricing
You approve the number before we touch the vehicle.
Mobile repair pricing is quoted per job because no two vehicles, locations or repairs are identical. Here is exactly what moves the number, so nothing about your invoice is a surprise.
Vehicle type
A compact sedan, a three-quarter-ton work truck and a Class C RV are three different jobs, even for the same repair.
Repair complexity
Access, fasteners, and how much has to come apart drive labor time more than the part itself does.
Parts
Quality tier and availability change the number. We tell you which option we are quoting and why.
Customer supplied parts
You may supply your own parts. We will explain the trade-offs on warranty and fitment before we install them.
Scheduling urgency
Same-day and after-hours requests are accommodated where possible and are quoted up front.
Vehicle location
Distance from our Norwood base and the working conditions on site factor into the quote.
No hidden fees.
No surprise charges.
Written approval before any work begins.
If the price changes, we stop and ask first.
Published starting prices are pending owner approval. Rather than post a number we have not confirmed, we quote your specific job directly — and we hold that quote.
The questions customers ask us most, answered before you have to call and ask.
How do we fix it?
We confirm the fault first, show you what we found with photos, quote the tune-ups in writing, and only then do the work — at your home, workplace or business.
How long does it take?
Most jobs are completed in a single mobile appointment. You get a realistic time estimate at booking, and a call if anything changes.
What does it typically cost?
A starting-at price for a straightforward job on a common vehicle, then a firm written quote once we know your year, make, model and condition.
Can it wait — and what if it is ignored?
Every finding is sorted into safety-now, service-soon or worth-watching. Safety-now items ignored turn into tows, rentals and repairs that cost several times more.
Every job we perform is photo-documented, and those photos go to you. Our public gallery uses only real jobs — no stock photos of somebody else's shop.
You get the photos either way
Whether or not you approve the repair, you keep the pictures and the notes of what we found. That is your vehicle's record, not ours.
Owner-supplied job photos for the public gallery: pending owner approval. We publish nothing we have not confirmed — no invented pricing, no invented policies, no invented claims.

GPS dispatch advantage
Share your exact location. We come straight to the vehicle.
Instead of describing a driveway, a back lot or the far corner of an office park, you can securely share your precise GPS location when you request service. It is optional, it is used only to dispatch your appointment, and it makes the whole visit smoother.
Your shared coordinates route our technician straight to the vehicle instead of to a general address.
More accurate ETA
Real distance beats a guessed address, so the arrival window we quote is the one you actually get.
Fewer address mistakes
No transposed house numbers, no wrong-side-of-the-street confusion, no wasted trips.
Easier parking lot service
Large office, apartment and retail lots are hard to describe. A pin puts us at the right row.
Easier service away from home
If the vehicle is parked somewhere unfamiliar, a location share removes all the guesswork.
Where we work
Centrally based in Norwood, Ohio
Our home base is 2219 Park Avenue, Norwood, Ohio 45212. Norwood sits near the middle of the Cincinnati map, which is exactly why we chose it — everything we serve expands outward from there. Customers closest to Norwood typically experience the fastest response times, and we still serve the greater Cincinnati metro, Clermont County and Northern Kentucky.
Closest to our Norwood base
These neighborhoods sit closest to 2219 Park Avenue in Norwood, so they typically see our fastest scheduling and shortest arrival windows.
Greater Cincinnati & Clermont County
Regularly scheduled service across the wider Hamilton, Butler and Clermont County area. Arrival windows are slightly longer than Tier 1.
Northern Kentucky & outer counties
Served by appointment. Tell us the location when you request service and we will confirm scheduling honestly rather than over-promise.
Do not see your neighborhood? Ask anyway. We would rather tell you honestly that a location is outside our range than book a visit we cannot make on time.
Our mobile pre-purchase inspection is our flagship service — we inspect the vehicle where it sits, before money changes hands. City-specific inspection pages:
