Rust affects labor time

Accessibility affects labor
Some components sit right on top. Others sit behind an intake, a subframe or half the front end. Access drives the hours.
Different engines need different labor
Two trims of the same model can have completely different engine bays, routing and torque procedures.
Luxury vehicles often need extra disassembly
Covers, shields and trim panels have to come off — and go back on correctly — before the actual repair even starts.
Some repairs reveal additional worn parts
When we get in there and find something else worn, we stop, photograph it, and call you. Nothing gets added to your bill without approval.
