Where can you work on my vehicle?

Anywhere with safe, level, hard ground, enough room to work around the vehicle, and permission to be there. Driveways, apartment and workplace parking lots, business yards and job sites all work. We cannot work on soft ground, a steep slope, or in an active traffic lane.

Can you work at my job?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as your employer or the property manager allows it. Plenty of our work happens in workplace parking lots while our customers are inside working. Confirm with whoever manages the lot before we schedule.

Question 3

Do I need permission from my apartment complex?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes. Many complexes have rules about vehicle work on the property. Ask management first — a two-minute conversation avoids us both getting turned away after we have arrived and unloaded.

Question 4

What happens if weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

Some jobs go ahead in rain or cold; some do not, either for safety or because the repair requires dry conditions to be done right. If weather forces a change, we contact you and reschedule. We will not rush a repair in conditions that compromise it.

What repairs can be done mobile?

Most maintenance and bolt-on repair work: oil service, brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, belts, tensioners, idler pulleys, radiators, thermostats, hoses, water pumps, spark plugs, coils, filters, wipers, bulbs, tie rods, control arms, CV axles, bolt-on wheel-bearing assemblies and complete strut assemblies. Diagnostics and every inspection we offer are fully mobile.

What repairs do you decline?

Transmissions, engine rebuilds, internal engine repair, timing chains and timing belts, brake-line repair, major A/C repair, tire service, towing, trailer work and heavy diesel repair. We also decline anything that cannot be done safely at your location. When we decline, we tell you who to call instead.

Why do prices say Starting At?

Because the same repair is genuinely not the same job on every vehicle. Starting At is the honest floor for a common vehicle in normal condition. Your exact vehicle gets quoted before we start, and you approve that number first.

What can change the final price?

Accepted Answer

Vehicle complexity and component access, rust and seized fasteners, part quality and availability, how many covers or shields have to come off, and whether related parts have to be replaced to do the job correctly. We explain each one that applies to you.

Question 9

Is diagnosis included in repair labor?

Accepted Answer

Diagnostics is its own service with its own time and equipment, quoted separately and approved by you. When we perform the repair that the diagnosis identified, we apply diagnostic labor toward the repair wherever the work genuinely overlaps. We will tell you the specifics before you commit.

Do customer-supplied parts change pricing?

Yes. If you supply the part, you pay labor only — but the warranty is on you, and if the part is wrong or fails we still have to charge for the labor to do it again. We will always tell you honestly whether supplying your own part is a good idea for that specific repair.

Are there additional charges for rust or difficult access?

Accepted Answer

There can be, and we tell you before we start rather than after. Ohio winters seize fasteners. When a bolt has to be cut, heated or drilled, that is real additional time. You approve any change before we continue.

What is included in Mobile Diagnostics?

Accepted Answer

A scan of the stored codes and freeze-frame data, live data review, targeted testing of the circuits and components involved, and a written explanation of what we found, what we tested and what we recommend. You keep the report whether or not we do the repair.

Is a code scan the same as a diagnosis?

Accepted Answer

No. A scan reads what the computer stored. A diagnosis tests why. A code like a lean-condition fault can be caused by a vacuum leak, a fuel-delivery problem or a sensor — the scan cannot tell you which.

Why can several parts cause the same code?

Accepted Answer

Because codes describe a circuit or a condition, not a component. The computer reports that a reading is out of range. Any part of the system that could put it out of range — sensor, wiring, connector, or the mechanical condition itself — is a candidate until it is tested out.

Do you guarantee a diagnosis identifies every hidden problem?

Accepted Answer

No, and no honest shop will. A diagnosis addresses the complaint you brought us and reports anything else we notice along the way. Intermittent faults sometimes need to be caught while they are happening. We tell you when that is the case rather than replacing parts hoping to get lucky.

How is this different from diagnostics?

A Vehicle Health Check is a broad inspection of a vehicle with no specific complaint — fluids, belts, hoses, battery, tires, brakes, suspension and visible leaks. Diagnostics is targeted testing to find the cause of one specific problem. Health check finds what is coming; diagnostics answers what is happening.

Is it good before a road trip?

Yes, that is one of the best times for it. Long trips punish weak batteries, tired belts, marginal cooling systems and worn tires. Finding those in your driveway beats finding them in another state.

Can it find future maintenance concerns?

That is the point of it. You get a written list separated into what needs attention now, what to plan for, and what is simply worth watching.

Does it include repairs?

Accepted Answer

No. The inspection is the product. Any repairs we recommend are quoted separately, and you are free to have them done anywhere you like. The written report is yours either way.

Do you provide parts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We source quality parts appropriate for your vehicle and how you use it, and we tell you what brand and grade we are quoting before you approve.

Can I provide parts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on most jobs. You pay labor only, and the part warranty is yours. If a supplied part is wrong or fails, the labor to redo the job is chargeable. We will tell you when supplying your own part is a bad idea for a specific repair.

Do you perform internal engine work?

No. Engine rebuilds and internal engine repair are outside what we do mobile. If a diagnosis points there, we tell you plainly and point you to a shop equipped for it.

Do you perform timing-chain or timing-belt work?

No. Timing chains and timing belts are not services we offer.

Do you repair brake lines?

No. We perform brake pad, rotor, caliper and related brake service, but hard brake-line repair and fabrication are not services we offer.

Do you perform major A/C repair?

No. Basic A/C recharge is the only A/C service we advertise. Compressor replacement, evaporator work, leak repair and system overhauls are referred out.

Do you replace oxygen sensors?

Selectively. Oxygen sensor service depends on the vehicle and how accessible and how seized the sensor is. We confirm before scheduling. For camshaft and crankshaft sensors, we handle externally mounted sensors only.

Fleet service starts with small operations — a handful of vans, trucks or work vehicles is enough. We build the schedule around your route and your slow days, not a corporate template.

Fleet customers get first call on available slots, because a work vehicle sitting still costs you more than the repair. The exact terms are set in your fleet agreement.
