It requires specialized equipment, costs significantly more, and often means the RV sits in a shop's queue for days before anyone even looks at it. Mobile service skips that entirely: we come to the RV, whether it's in your driveway, a storage lot, or broken down at a campground, and start diagnosing the same day in most cases.

RVs also tend to break down in inconvenient places, mid-trip at a campground, in a storage yard between seasons, or in a driveway the morning a trip is supposed to start. A mobile mechanic meets the RV where it already is instead of adding a tow to an already stressful situation, which matters most when travel plans and time off work are on the line.

There's also a practical space issue. Many RV shops in the region are backed up scheduling collision work, warranty work, or larger jobs, and a simple battery or starter replacement can get lost in that queue. Work we don't take on, and where it should go

Generator Repair

Generator systems have their own engine, fuel delivery, and electrical output separate from the chassis, and diagnosing them properly takes specialized equipment we don't carry. If your onboard generator won't start or is running rough, we'll point you to a generator specialist rather than guess at it ourselves.

Propane Systems

Propane work requires specific certification and leak-testing procedures for safety reasons, and it's not something we're set up to handle. Any propane appliance, regulator, or line issue should go to a certified RV propane technician, and we're glad to point you toward finding one.

Shore Power / House 12V Electrical

Your RV's house battery bank, inverter, and shore power hookup are a separate system from the chassis electrical we work on, with their own wiring and safety considerations. For house electrical issues, an RV electrical specialist familiar with those specific systems is the right call.

Roof Repairs

Roof membranes, seals, and vent flashing require specific materials and application methods that aren't part of chassis mechanical work. A roof leak or damage should go to an RV body or roofing specialist who works with those materials regularly.

Slide Mechanisms

Slide-out motors, gears, and alignment are mechanically and electrically distinct from chassis systems, and misdiagnosing a slide issue can be costly. We refer slide-out problems to a technician who specializes in that specific hardware.

Major Transmission Work

Transmission rebuilds and major internal repairs require shop equipment we don't bring on-site, including lifts and specialized tooling. For anything beyond basic fluid and filter service, we'll refer you to a transmission specialist or full-service shop.

Major Engine Rebuilds

A full engine rebuild needs a shop environment with a hoist, machine work access, and extended bay time that mobile service can't provide. We'll help you understand the diagnosis and point you toward a shop equipped for that scale of work.

Do you come to my location for RV repairs?
Yes, that's the entire model. We travel to driveways, storage lots, and campgrounds throughout Greater Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Clermont County, and Northern Kentucky. There's no need to arrange a tow for the chassis and drivetrain issues we handle, since our whole purpose is meeting the RV where it already is.
What RV systems do you actually work on?
We handle chassis and drivetrain systems: diagnostics, tune-ups, batteries, alternators, starters, water pumps, serpentine belts, cooling systems, and pre-trip inspections. We do not work on generators, propane, house electrical, roofs, or slide-outs, and we'll refer you elsewhere for those.
Can you fix my RV's generator or propane system?
No, those require specialized certification and equipment we don't carry. Generator and propane issues need a technician who specializes specifically in those systems, and we'll point you in the right direction rather than attempt a repair outside our scope.
My RV won't start after sitting all winter, what could it be?
Extended storage is one of the most common causes of no-start issues, usually from a discharged or sulfated battery, corroded connections, or fuel system varnish. We test the full starting and charging circuit on-site to identify which of those is actually the cause before recommending a fix.
Do you service travel trailers and fifth wheels?
We service the chassis systems of the tow vehicle as they relate to towing performance, but travel trailers and fifth wheels themselves have no engine or chassis drivetrain of their own for us to work on. If you're having tow vehicle issues, we can help with that side of things.
How is mobile RV repair different from a regular shop visit?
We bring diagnostic tools and common parts to your location instead of requiring you to tow the RV in, which saves time and towing cost for the chassis and drivetrain issues we handle. Bay-dependent work like transmission rebuilds still needs a shop, and we'll tell you if that's the case.
What if you find something wrong that you don't repair?
We'll explain exactly what we found in plain language and refer you to a specialist who handles that system, whether it's a generator tech, propane certifier, or RV electrical specialist. We'd rather give you an honest direction than take on work outside our expertise.
Do I get a quote before you start any work?
Always. After diagnosing the issue, we provide a written quote covering parts and labor, and nothing gets replaced without your approval. If the scope changes once we're into the job, we pause and talk to you before continuing.
How often should I get a pre-trip inspection?
Once a year before your main travel season is a reasonable baseline, especially after winter storage. If your RV sees heavy use or you're planning a long trip, an additional check beforehand can catch anything that developed since the last inspection.
